The IC200ALG326 is a 13-bit current analog-type output module. This type of analog output module commonly delivers an output of current in the range of 4 to 20 milliamperes -- 4 milliampere conforming to zero counts and 20 milliampere conforms to + 32000 counts. The default output range can be changed by configuring in intersection with a jumper. If a jumper is used, the default output current range can be changed to 0 - 20 milliamperes. The default lower range can be either 0 or 4 milliamperes and this default value in the range depends upon the status of the PLC, span of the current assigned, and whether the module is regulated by either network interface unit or versa max PLC CPU. The module installed in a versa max PLC type CPU converts negative value commands to 0 milliamperes regardless of the current span selected and if the module is controlled by a network interface unit it converts any negative value comments to the lower end of the current span.
The operating voltage ranges from 18 to 30 Volts DC. It has a rapid update rate of 15 milliseconds, so it has a better sensitivity rate. The green FLD PWR LED indicator on the module is used to indicate the presence of user side power for analog field circuits and the green light indicates backplane power. All 8 channels are grouped into a single one so there is no isolation provided in between the groups. This module is compatible with Ethernet, DeviceNet, Profibus NIU versions, etc.
