The GE Fanuc IC200ALG630 is a VersaMax Analog Input Thermocouple Module that accepts up to seven (7) independent thermocouple or millivolt inputs. It receives power from the backplane power supply, and no external power source is required of it. For the IC200ALG630, each input channel can be configured to report millivolts ranges as 1/100 of millivolts, or thermocouple inputs as linearized temperature in tenths of degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit, with or without cold junction compensation. The IC200ALG630 module automatically performs A/D calibration at powerup. Automatic calibration is then repeated periodically to compensate for changes in ambient temperature. New calibration values are filtered into the current calibration values. With respect to host interface, the IC200ALG630 module uses 7 words of analog input data and 7 option words of analog output data.

Module characteristics for the IC200ALG630 module include seven (7) thermocouple or millivolt inputs and FFFF9804 for Module ID. Isolation is 250 Volts AC continuous and 1500 Volts AC for 1 minute for user input to logic (optional) and to frame ground. The module utilizes green LED indicators for when backplane power is present. The amber-colored LED signals module fault. The IC200ALG630 has a backplane power consumption of 125 milliamperes maximum for the 5 Volt output and 125 milliamperes maximum for the 3.3 Volt output. Input characteristics dictate that thermocouple types included are J, K, T, S, R, and none. This hardware has a converter resolution of 15 bits + sign and a normal mode rejection of 60 decibels at 50/60 Hertz with 100% span. Common mode rejection is 120 decibels at 50/60 Hertz with 100 ohm imbalance and common mode voltage is 3 Volts DC maximum. The maximum voltage between channels is 50 Volts and normal mode voltage is 5 Volts DC maximum.
