The IC200MDD840 is a Discrete Input/Output Positive Logic Module that offers twenty (20) discrete inputs and twelve (12) relay outputs. The inputs of the module form two groups of 10 points and these inputs are positive logic and sourcing type inputs. The inputs receive current from electronic devices and instruments and return the current on the common. The output of the module is relay output which forms two groups of six points. Each output group of the module can drive a maximum of eight Amperes of current. The backplane supplies the power for the module operation but the output load must be powered from an external source of supply.
Individual green LEDs are also present in the IC200MDD840 module for status indication. The output light emitting diodes are logic-driven and completely independent of the load condition. The on and off response of basic input of the module is 0.5 milliseconds. The isolation provided for the module is user input to logic and frame ground, 250 VAC continuous and 1500 VAC for a duration of 60 seconds. The group-to-group isolation is also 250VAC for input to logic and frame ground. The backplane current consumption for 5 Volt output is 375 milliamperes maximum. The input impedance is 10 kiloohms maximum. The output voltage range is from 0 to 125 VDC with 5/24/125 VDC nominal and 0 or 265 VAC for 47 Hertz to 63 Hertz with 120/240 VAC. The output voltage drop is 0.3 Volts maximum. The load current is 10 milliamperes per point minimum and 8.0 Amperes maximum per module.
